FAQs

Our provider will draw blood from your arm and process it in the centrifuge. Once we prepare the autologous product, we can inject it back into the skin. Thanks to the fibrin matrix, the growth factors, and other high-potency ingredients will work on the skin slowly over time, which means you can enjoy the results for up to one year. PRF injections will help treat dark under eye circles, smooth skin texture, improve skin laxity, and stimulate the production of collagen and elasticity.
During your appointment, we will first discuss your medical history and answer any questions you may have. Then, our provider will draw blood from your arm and process it in the centrifuge. We will apply topical numbing to maintain your comfort level. Then, we will perform the PRF injections into the target treatment areas. Your appointment may last up to roughly 45 minutes.
Recovery time after a PRF treatment is typically minimal. Some patients may experience some swelling or redness at the injection site, but this should subside within a few days.
Depending on your skin concerns and skin goals, we typically recommend a total of 3 to 6 treatments, 4 weeks apart to achieve optimal results.
Both PRF and PRP injections are prepared by drawing blood from the individual and preparing it in a centrifuge. However, for PRF injections, the centrifuge is spun at slower speeds. This increases the concentration of platelets, fibrin (a protein), stem cells, and growth factors in the final product. PRF also contains white blood cells and it does not contain any additives.
